February is probably when it is too late to wish someone a happy new year. Maybe MLK day is the point where its time to give up new-year wishes. Possibly it is no longer the thing to do once January 2nd has come. Some may argue that at least a week into the new year is tolerable. Or perhaps, as so long as the year is not at least half over, the year is still new.

Happy New Year?
February is probably when it is too late to wish someone a happy new year. Maybe MLK day is the point where its time to give up new-year wishes.
